Lillian I. (Risch) Price, 80, of 146 Sylvan Road, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, George A. Price; a son, Douglas Price of Clinton; five daughters: Patricia Lambert and her partner, Robin Bechhofer, of Madison, WI, Lynette Veo and her husband, Jack, of Hudson, Brenda Wagner and her husband, Rick, of Sterling, Debbie Price of Westminster, and Cheryl Price-Bartlett and her husband, Bill Bartlett, of Lancaster; a brother, Albert Risch, of Madison, NH; a sister, Heidi Kwort of Australia; 17 grandchildren: Debbie Lambert, Tricia Imprescia and her husband, Ed, Meghan Veo-Tucker, Shamus Veo and his wife, Meghan, Justin Veo and his wife, Stacy, Alanna Tyler, Michael Tyler, Jonathan Tyler, Andrew, Samantha, Emily, Derek, Douglas & Jacob Price, and Billy, Eric & Lindsey Bartlett; and five great-grandchildren.
Lillian was born in Chicago, IL, daughter of John and Keturah (Wagner) Risch. She was a graduate of Atlantic Union College, and had been a resident of Lancaster since 1955.
A Registered Nurse, Lillian served as the Director and Administrator of the family-owned Sunshine Nursing Home, Stoneham, for many years. Previously, she worked as a nurse for the Town of Ayer, and at Clinton Hospital.
A devout member of The College Church of Seventh-day Adventists at Atlantic Union College, she was a member of its Women’s Ministry, and the Adventist Nurses Association. In addition, she was a member and former officer of the Massachusetts Federation of Nursing Homes, and a former Chapter Leader and National Board Member of the ASI Business Association. For ten years, she also served as a Board Member of Maranatha Volunteers International.
She greatly enjoyed arranging flowers, gardening, and traveling. Her greatest pleasure, however, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, October 14, 2011, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton. A memorial service for Lillian will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in The College Church, 337 Main St., South Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Lillian to Maranatha Volunteers International, 990 Reserve Drive, Suite 100, Roseville, CA 95678, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
