CLINTON
Stephanie T. “Sally” (Nosek) Kobus, 90, formerly of 48 Mount View Drive, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 in Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center, West Boylston, after an illness. Her husband of 53 years, Paul J. Kobus, died in 1995.
She leaves two daughters: Diane F. Daniele and her husband, Thomas, of Bel Air, MD, and Paulette M. Zelent and her husband, Henry, of Clinton; two brothers: Frank Nosek and Walter Nosek, both of Clinton; four grandchildren: Jocelyn Eaton and her husband, Guy, Paul Daniele, Michael Daniele and his wife, Jessica, and Kim Daniele and his wife, Cory; five great-grandchildren: Isabella & Sofia Eaton, and Caleb, Taylor & Cameron Daniele. Two brothers, Stanley and Chester “Chickie” Nosek, and two sisters, Frances Zborowski and Mary Piwowarski, pre-deceased her.
Sally was born and raised in Clinton, daughter of Stanislaw and Franciszka (Matisewski) Nosek, and was a life-long resident. She was a graduate of Clinton High School and Salter Secretarial School, Worcester.
For nearly 30 years until its closing, Sally worked as a sewer at the former Colonial Press of Clinton. A natural caregiver, she dutifully cared for her elderly parents, and later, her ailing husband, for many years.
A woman of deep faith, she was a devout member of the former Our Lady of Jasna Gora Church, its Prayer Group, and the Catholic Women’s Club.
Sally took delight in everyday things, such as her yard and flowers, and lived a life centered on family – her loving husband, Paul, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Kobus family wishes to thank the staff at Oakdale Nursing Center for their love and kindness and compassion, as well as Toni Donisvitch, who faithfully brought Communion to Sally every week for the last 10 years.
Sally’s funeral will be held on Monday June 18, 2012 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster.
