Loretta A. (Ditinno) Prizio, 80, formerly of Clinton and Worcester, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 in Beaumont Nursing Center, Northborough, after an illness.
She is survived by a son, Ricci P. Prizio of Hubbardston; a daughter, Donna M. Muzante and her husband, Fred, of East Norwich, NY; one grandson, Christon Muzante; niece and nephews, Lisa Christy, Francis Prizio, and Alex, Dennis & David Ditinno; and her companion of many years, John Marderosian. She was pre-deceased by three sisters: Lena Ditinno, Anne Ditinno and Viola Richard, and one brother, Felix Ditinno.
Loretta was born and raised in Clinton, daughter of Pasquale and Frances (Valerio) Ditinno, and was a graduate of Clinton High School.
For many years, Loretta worked for the former Colonial Press of Clinton as a Proofreader, until its closing. She later worked for 14 years at the Christmas Tree Shop, Shrewsbury, retiring in 2008.
Loretta’s funeral will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. There are no calling hours. The McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
