SOUTH LANCASTER
Clifton C. Minty, 81, of 70 Old Hickory Rd., died Friday, July 20, 2012, in Sterling Village, Sterling, following an illness.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Bettyrose M. (Blaser) Minty; two sons: James Minty and his wife, Linda, of VA and Richard Minty and his wife, Anita, of MD; two daughters: Loralee Thomas and her husband, David, and Deanna Waters and her husband, Keith, all of WA; nine grandchildren: Michael and David Waters, Matthew and Jonathan Thomas, Joshua, Caleb, Jordyn, Kendra and Nathaniel Minty.
Clifton was born and raised in Athol, the son of Clifton and Beatrice (White) Minty and attended local schools. He graduated from South Lancaster Academy and later from the Massachusetts School of Radiology in Boston.
Clifton was employed as a supervisor at the Eusey Press in Leominster, MA, where he worked for thirty years before his retirement. He was also an experienced builder.
He was a member of the Village Seventh-Day Adventist Church for over 50 years. He was devoted to his family, an avid reader, and greatly enjoyed family reunions and vacations spent together in Siesta Key and Sarasota, FL, visiting Newfoundland, and traveling across the US.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 1:30 pm in Eastwood Cemetery, Lancaster.
